Antivirus Recommendation for 2007
November 6th, 2007 by Chuck Sharp

PC World has a good review of antivirus software from April. BitDefender, while still among the top-rated, has become incredibly slow. My personal new favorite is NOD32, which rounded out the top four in the review. It has a slightly more technical user interface than the others, but has a very good virus scanning ability, very small performance impact, and it’s reasonably priced, especially when you buy for multiple PCs. Interestingly, I looked for discouraging remarks about NOD32 using Google, and I found very little. Most everything I can find out it is positive, especially when compared to other anti-virus. It’s not perfect, but it’s my current best bet.
