Jott Reminders

May 9th, 2008 by Chuck Sharp

So, Jott is very cool, as I mentioned previously. I’ve been recently playing with a feature that is way understated: reminders. When you create a Jott, you can say “reminder” to create a message that will be emailed and texted back to you when you want. It’s a fantastic alarm service. You can also create reminders right off of your Jott homepage. You tell Jott what day and time to send the reminder. Because you can create reminders from the web or by voice, there’s really no excuse not to create these reminders when you think of them.
I’ve used this for reminders on the way home from work (”go to hallmark, buy mothers day card”) or to restart a work computer service at 5 am and 10 pm (”restart apache service, test configuration”). The text messaging is the icing on the cake, as the alarm will find me wherever I am. I love it.
